01What does Energex do?Consult, develop, build and equip.
Energex is a Bulgarian renewable energy company. We consult on projects, develop them from greenfield or brownfield land to Ready-to-Build or Ready-to-Sell, build them with certified EPC partners, and supply Battery Energy Storage Systems in Bulgaria and across Europe.
02How long does it take to develop a project in Bulgaria?10–13 months.
Ten to thirteen months is typical for a utility-scale renewable energy project. This covers the land, the grid connection agreement with ESO, the Detailed Spatial Development Plan, the environmental decisions, the technical design, all the way until the project receives a building permit.
03What is a Ready-to-Build project?One where construction can start at once.
A Ready-to-Build project has secured land, a signed grid connection agreement, zoning and environmental approvals, a completed technical design and a valid building permit, so construction can start at once. Ready-to-Sell goes further: it entails full Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), and by the end the plant is fully operational.
04Do you work with greenfield or brownfield sites?Both, and due diligence on either.
Both. We can find, negotiate and secure optimal greenfield land by purchase or lease on your behalf. Alternatively, we can take on brownfield sites and part-developed projects where land, permits or grid capacity already exist, and take them to the stage you want them at. You can also hire us only for due diligence on a greenfield or brownfield site, to make sure everything is in order before committing to it.
05What is included in a Battery Energy Storage System from Energex?The whole system, up to 5 MWh a container.
A liquid-cooled 20-foot ESS container of up to 5 MWh, battery and energy management systems, and a separate power conversion container holding inverters, transformers, filters and protection. Cells come from CATL, SVOLT and REPT. Warranty runs up to ten years, and installation is optional.
06Can I engage Energex for a single task instead of a whole project?Yes. Consulting is done item by item.
Yes. Consulting is done item by item: a land feasibility and grid capacity check, a regulatory roadmap, document review before an acquisition, design vetting, contractor selection, customs and logistics coordination, or more. Each is scoped and quoted on its own, with its own agreement and a negotiable price.
